Tynedale Colts fresh from their win against Peebles, made the trip west to Langholm on saturday. The Colts had a squad of only 17, it seems that after the large squad at training post the new year that certain players are not willing to travel to away games.
The pack was depleted and had prop Adam Telfer playing openside flanker and second row Will Brown on the blindside. Langholm got off to good start with a try from their number eight. Ben Archer replyed with a penalty, Tynedales only points of the game. Tynedale had periods of domination but failed to turn possession into points.
Matt-Matt Williams bossed the pack well from scrum half and had a solid game. Michael Cunningham making his debut got man of the match for excellent defense and attacking well.
The Colts next league fixture is against Melrose away on saturday.
