Four wins out of four in January have seen Waterloo maintain their 100% record in National Three North with wins away at New Brighton and at home to Darlington MP being their best performances on the month.
The coaching side at Waterloo is looked after by Ian Aitchison who, is the 1st Team Coach (Director of Rugby). He has been at Waterloo for 2 and half seasons in the coaching role.
Phil Winstanley joined Waterloo at the beginning of last season as a player coach but was injured about 4 games into the season and has since just been coaching.
Waterloo make it a double this month with the player of the month award going to scrum half John Broxson who has made the position his own over the last few weeks from Craig Aikman who started the season as No 1.
He joined the club in the summer from Manchester and previously Orrell.
Prior to the New Year most of his appearances were from the bench with just five matches started and eight in which he came on as a replacement.
Mike Scott picked up the NCA National Three North Kicker of the Month for a third successive month with a 70.83 strike rate just ahead of Waterloo’s Tony Handley.
Fylde will be needing Scott to be at his best if they are to keep out of the relegation zone in National Three North.
