The kick off was delayed by over an hour after the Tynedale coach was held up in traffic on the A1.
Despite the prolonged journey Tyne blew Peterborough Lions away in the first half. After a scoreless opening 18 minutes Tynedale ran in seven tries (all converted) to give Tyne a resounding 49-0 interval lead.
The Lions came into the game in the second period and scored five converted tries of their own with Tyne's try count restricted to three!

Tynedale's last away match of the season, and their second longest journey, is their first ever visit to Peterborough Lions.
Its fair to say that Peterborough Lions have found their first season in National 2 difficult and occupy bottom place in the league. In what will be their last home match of the season the Lions will sure to be looking to leave the league on a high and to add to their four home victories - one of these against second in the league Chester.
In the reverse fixture, played in February, Tynedale ran out 31-5 winners in an error-strewn match.
