Wharfedale edge scrappy match

Two tries from Wharfedale hooker Robbie Collinson left Tynedale still looking for their first win of the season in a scrappy "Battle of the Dales".
Tynedale started well, with Jake Rodgers winning the race to touch down a chip from James Telford in only the second minute. Rodgers converted his own try and added a penalty four minutes later.
A Tynedale clearance was charged down after 12 minutes, allowing George Hedgley to go over for a converted try, and the visitors took the lead in the 24th minute when Collinson touched down from a lineout catch and drive.
Tynedale were back in front after 33 minutes when Telford wriggled over from a forward drive, Rodgers converting to give them a 17-12 interval lead.
With Tynedale skipper Chris Wearmouth in the sin-bin, a powerful drive resulted in a fine try for Oliver Cocognini, converted by Sam Gaudie to put Wharfedale back in front, but after 62 minutes Josh Leslie eased Tynedale ahead with a try from another catch and drive.
With eight minutes left strong forward play by Wharfedale gave Collinson his second try, and the Yorkshiremen were able to retain possession to secure maximum points.
