Report from "The Rugby Paper":-
Tynedale crashed to their fifth straight defeat as they were battered into submission by the vast Rotherham forwards in a physical contest.
The Tynedale faithful feared the worst when the unbeaten Titans roared into a 13-0 lead in even time, with a fifth minute try by Zak Poole converted by Richard Hayes, who soon added two penalties.
But Tynedale responded well in the second quarter, with two tries by Ben Riley, one converted, reducing the gap to a point at the interval.
After two more Hayes penalties early in the second period the Titans pack set up camp on the Tynedale line, relentlessly recycling the ball before former Tynedale favourite Dan Rundle skipped round the side of a maul to score, Hayes converting to extend Rotherham's lead.
Tynedale could not get out of their own 22 as the Rotherham forwards ground remorselessly on, and a catch and drive from a lineout brought their third try through replacement Luke Cole, before Hayes maintained his perfect record from the tee.
Tynedale had the last word when Joe Lilley crossed following a Titans knock-on but their search for a first win of the season continued.
