Rotherham Titans v Tynedale

After 3 successive home matches, our last away match being on 9th December, Tynedale are back on the road this Saturday as we travel down into South Yorkshire to take on Rotherham Titans.

TYNEDALE V ROTHERHAM THIS SEASON
The earlier fixture between the clubs took place at Tynedale Park on 30th September 2023 with Rotherham recording a 33-19 victory – both sides scoring three tries. Tynedale, although depriving the Titans of a valuable bonus point, thus lost their fifth successive match in September although it was this match that proved to be a turning point in our seson.
Full back Richard Hayes had a 100% kicking record on the day - notching 18 points with 4 penalties and 3 conversions.

ROTHERHAM v TYNEDALE LAST SEASON
Our last visit to Rotherham was on 24th September 2022 when the home side recorded a 37-7 victory in what was a far more competitive match than the scoreline suggests.
Tynedale didn’t really get off the bus that day and found ourselves 31-0 down within the opening quarter. We did recover well however and actually ‘won’ the second half with a Ben Bell converted try.

ROTHERHAM THIS SEASON
The Titans are one of the two runners, along with Leeds Tykes, in what is a two-horse race for league champions this season.
They currently sit only six points behind Leeds, having lost their away match against Leeds 26-20 in November with the return fixture scheduled for 23rd March.

They have won all eight of their home fixtures so Saturday’s match is definitely a tough challenge – something the lads often relish.
