Young Colts step up

The Colts had their first outing of the season at the Peebles 7s Tournament this weekend.

The Colts took a lot of the younger Colts, who had never played 7s before, so we were always going to be up against it, playing against some tough, experienced Border opposition.

A seasoned, experienced Selkirk team were first up and although the lads gave their all we started off with a defeat.

Our second match was against a huge Biggar side, living up to their name, who we defeated - which made the travel worth it. Unfortunately it wasn't enough to progress out of our group but it was a great taster for the six 7's tournaments we will be playing in next April.
