Report taken from 'The Rugby Paper':-
Chester just had enough to take the honours in a very close contest.
Tynedale took the lead with a Jake Rodgers penalty after seven minutes before he crossed for a try and added the conversion.
But Chester hit back as Jorge Lewtas crossed for a try and Liam Reeve converted.
They then began to dominate and led 21-13 at the break after Gethin Long finished off a fast move for Reeve to add the extras.
After a slow start to the second period Long added another fast-paced try to give his side a 12-point lead.
But Tynedale responded well and sustained pressure paved the way for Will Miller to score, converted by James Blackett.
Both teams had chances to win the contest in the final quarter, but in the end a late penalty from Reeve was enough to seal a victory in which a Chris Wearmouth try and Rob Parker conversion earned Tynedale a losing bonus point.
It was a good way to end a contest in which 100 past-players were in attendance following the past players lunch, with players attending from the first team in the 60's to the present day with an age range of 89 to 40.
