A message from Andrew Neal, Chairman of our Youth Section:-
"Absolutely phenomenal festival today. Thank you so much to Kate and all the organisers who have done an outstanding job. Simply superb.
Thank you also to the U14s who refereed, the Physios who were kept very busy, the catering which was great as always and also Craig and Clair who must have done a year's supply of Lucozade Sport.
Finally thanks to the coaches and players who make days like this so special - it's such a pleasure to see almost 800 smiling faces enjoying playing rugby and all that goes with it.
Tynedale is such a great club!"
THANK YOU EVERYONE
Andrew Neal, Chairman of Youth Section, Tynedale RFC

ARTICLE FROM HEXHAM COURANTTYNEDALE RFC has hosted its annual youth rugby festival, welcoming more than 800 players.
The event, one of the North East's largest youth rugby festivals, took place at Tynedale Park in Corbridge on Sunday, April 23.
The tournament saw players aged nine to 12 descend on Tynedale RFC from clubs as far away as Edinburgh, West Yorkshire and the Lake District, for a day of rugby fixtures to end the 2022-23 season.
The rain clouds parted just in time, helping make the day a great success with a total of more than 60 teams from 25 different clubs involved.
This year Tynedale RFC introduced the under 12 girls age group to the festival for the first time, bringing girls and boys teams together to play alongside each other.
Andrew Neale, chair of youth rugby at Tynedale RFC, said: "It was great to see so many young rugby players enjoying the game.
"Some fantastic creative rugby played across all 11 pitches and the spirit and sporting behaviour the games were played in was fantastic. Huge thanks to all the organisers."
With support from the Sedbergh Rugby Camp coaches, players were able to show off their skills in the Skills Zone between fixtures as well as enjoy meeting Newcastle Falcons players Charlie Maddison and Mark Tampin, who also coaches the Tynedale 1st team. Flash the Falcon entertained the crowds around the site with many taking selfies with the Newcastle Falcons Mascot.
A number of Tynedale Under 14 players acted as referees for the day, alongside premiership referee and former Tynedale player, Hamish Smales.
A spokesperson for Tynedale RFC said: "Our thanks go out to all of our sponsors including our headline sponsor, Egger, without whom we could not have run such a fantastic and successful event."
