Following the recent decision to integrate local club 2nd XV's into the RFU league pyramid, the Candy Leagues have moved swiftly to confirm their structure for the 2026/27 season.

TYNEDALE HADRIANS
Our Hadrians will compete in CaNDY ONE.

It is particularly pleasing to see several clubs returning to league rugby following the reshuffle, with Winlaton Vulcans, Seghill and South Shields all back in the fold.

The Hadrians face another competitive campaign alongside the 3rd XVs of Alnwick, Morpeth and Novocastrians, as well as the 2nd XVs of Gosforth, Medicals, North Shields, WB Rockcliff and Westoe. Winlaton Vulcans 1st XV complete the CaNDY ONE line-up.

TYNEDALE CENTURIONS
Our Centurions will compete in CaNDY Two North where they will be looking to build on an excellent 2025/26 league winning season as they renew acquaintances with several familiar opponents in Candy Two North.

A huge thank you to the Candy League Organisers for their swift work in re-jigging the leagues and providing clarity for clubs ahead of the new campaign. A new era for Rugby in the North East.

With pre-season edging ever closer, excitement is already building across all sections of the club.
Following the extended National Two North season, which only concluded in May, we expect confirmation of the 2026/27 1st XV league line-up and fixtures later this month.
