We regularly had 20 to 25 players available for most games, that's outstanding.
We were able to honour all fixtures and had teams ready to go even when the opposition cancelled.

Special thanks to bad cop Mr Purves, captain and vice-captain Martyn Hutton and Robbie Binks, inspirational and reliable all season, legendary social committee, Kael Horton, Will Roberts, Rhys Loughead and Will Charlton, and everyone of the 65 players who turned out for every match, Ian Charlton, or, even just the odd few minutes as a replacement.

The playing ability of the side, their commitment, sense of fair play, and cheerful post-match enjoyment, have been remarked upon by the opposition on many occasions. EXAMPLE: “Congratulations from all at Newcastle Ravens, pleasure playing the centurions this year class on and off the field.”

It would be brilliant if this state of affairs could continue next season but I hope that some of you might consider training Tuesday and Thursday from pre-season onwards. Youngsters like Layton, Alex, Dan, Lex, Leon, Will (x3), etc, etc, show great promise, why not give it a go.

It's been a pleasure to have been team manager of this exceptional group of gentlemen, long may it continue.
