COW PAT RESULT

COW PAT RESULT

Wallace Cousin12 Apr - 11:51

CLARENCE HAS LAST LAUGH

We know everyone will have woken up this morning in fervent anticipation of a result on last night’s Cow Pat Challenge

Firstly, a huge thank you — an astonishing 1,100 tickets were sold, filling our 10,764sqm pitch and raising £10,000 to reinvest into our clubhouse and support the 20 fantastic teams across the club.
An incredible effort all round

After a patient 2-hour watch on a glorious spring evening at Tynedale Park, with darkness setting in, it became clear we needed to make a call.
It was important to us that there was a winner on the night — so, as despite there being no BS on the night, there had to be a result.

While we didn’t quite get the, ahem, headline moment, we did have a strong contender. We will therefore go with the “silver medal” effort from Cow Pat and honoured the wee spot as the result.

Congratulations to our winner – past Tynedale player NEIL HART in Square F-1
£1,000 on its way to you!

As luck would have it, once returned to the private solace of her dressing room trailer, Clarence duly did the deed, just unfortunately nowhere near a square on the 1st XV Pitch.

A big thanks to Alistair Smith and Family of Healey Farm for loaning ‘Pam’ who starred as Clarence on the big stage.
A special mention to Jack Walton on commentary, who somehow kept everyone entertained despite the extremely challenging conditions of… not a lot actually happening.
A note of thanks also, to Dave Parkins from Intake Veterinary Services for overseeing the event.

With similar events popping up on the rugby paddocks of Alnwick, Winnington Park and Fylde this month, we’ll be catching up with our counterparts in the National Federation of Cow Pat Challenges & be back next April with a bigger, better night and deliver that all-important gold medal moment.

Thanks again to everyone who took part and embraced the occasion — great spirit all round.
