The Northumberland Referees Society have acknowledged the work of Tynedale stalwart Craig Johnston by presenting him with the Geoff Parkinson Award in recognition of his long serving contribution to the Referees Society and Northumberland Rugby.

The Referees Society’ chairman Jim Coulson presented Craig with the prestigious award at the Annual Northumberland Rugby Union Referee Society Dinner held at the Gosforth Park Hotel on Thursday 21st March 2024.

Congratulations to Craig from all at Tynedale – well deserved indeed.

Craig, who currently manages, with Clair, the successful BAR1876 also finds time to fulfil his role as the Club’s Senior Fixture Secretary which involves close liaison with referees.

Craig’s career at Tynedale RFC is very impressive, and includes:-
