Tynedale RFC are proud to have been the first stop on Doddie’s Triple Crown Bike Ride today with over 400 cyclists stopping off for a short break and a few refreshments before they continued the day's journey to Leeds.

A huge thank you to all of our fantastic volunteers and sponsors who made it all possible.
A special thanks to Stobos Greengrocers in Corbridge, Greggs & Mark Crowe Catering for their generosity in providing fuel for the visitors.

Good luck to all the teams for the rest of the journey.

Doddie’s Triple Crown is the 2026 edition of Rob Wainwright and Mark Beaumont’s epic annual cycling challenge to raise funds for My Name’5 Doddie Foundation.

Off the back of Doddie’s Grand Tour 2025 raising over £1 million for MND research, Rob, Mark and crew are back with this new challenge.

Teams will cover 800 miles over four days (10-13 March), arriving in Dublin just in time for Scotland vs Ireland at the Aviva Stadium.

The circuitous route is set as follows:
Day 1: Melrose to Leeds
Day 2: Leeds to Gloucester
Day 3: Gloucester to Pembroke (overnight ferry to Ireland)
Day 4: Rosslare to Dublin

If you’re able, come and say hello – it’s a great opportunity to meet these riders and support an important cause.
We’re looking for:

  • Volunteers to help on the day
  • Local businesses willing to support & donate
  • Club members, supports, players & our neighbours to come and support the cyclists.

Every bit helps. If you’d like to get involved, drop us a message.
