Tynedale RFC in Corbridge, provides rugby for adult and youth players from 6 years
old upwards. We also have a number of ladies teams as well as touch rugby. 

In order to fund these activities, we open our grounds to allow specialist
organisations to hold events during the summer season. These include a long-
standing Beer Festival, Steam Rally, Classic Car show and caravan rallies.

In August 2023 we were approached by Richardsons Amusements who expressed a
wish to put on a family event at Tynedale Park.  They wished to stage a Balloon
Festival working with a professional specialist company (Exclusive Ballooning). On
the understanding that this would be a prestigious event for Corbridge and the
surrounding area we opened our ground to it.

We are now extremely disappointed to hear of the complaints which the event has
attracted. In the light of those complaints, and the absence of any post event
comment from the organisers, we are sorry that the event did not live up to its
advance publicity and expectations.

We hope that this will not deter families from attending the many future events to be
held at Tynedale Park.
