Congratulations to Oscar Caudle on a fantastic achievement—making his 100th 1st XV appearance for Tynedale RFC, marked last Saturday away at Scunthorpe, where he crossed the line for two tries and, as ever, led from the front as Co-Captain.

25 year-old Oscar’s journey to 100 caps is a real club success story.
Wark lad and former QEHS student, he’s progressed through our Mini & Junior ranks & was part of the Tynedale Colts team who made the National Colts Final in 2018.

Oscar made his senior debut as a teenager, coming off the bench in a me27-26 win away at Leicester Lions in March 2019.
Since then, he has become a mainstay of the squad & along with Will Miller started this season as Co-Captain of the Club.
“It means a lot for me to reach 100 first team caps. Tynedale is my boyhood club and to reach it in the position of co-captain is something special. I’m looking forward to the future and hopefully many more appearances,” says Oscar.

Director of Rugby and fellow North Tyne club centurion, Peter Southern shared his praise:
“Oscar has grown to become the outstanding player in his position in the league. He has taken to captaincy excellently & to get to 100 is a great achievement. He is a brilliant role model and example for all young players at the club.”

Club Coach Tom Wilkinson summed it up perfectly:
“Oscar should be held up as a shining example of what Tynedale RFC is about. He’s represented every level of the club, plays the game with absolute commitment, cares deeply about his teammates and Tynedale RFC, and has never lost sight of the fact that this needs to be fun. He is someone that we are so lucky to have.”

Everyone at Tynedale RFC is incredibly proud of Oscar’s commitment, leadership, and success on and off the field. Here’s to many more appearances in the blue and white.
