Tynedale hosts a landmark occasion on Saturday 9th May as the club welcomes Oundle RFC to Tynedale Park for a National Two play-off fixture — the first of its kind to be staged at the ground.

The opportunity follows an outstanding 45–20 victory away at Wharfedale, a result that secured the 1st XV’s place in the play-offs and marks only the second time the club has competed in such a fixture.

Oundle arrive from the National 2 East Conference having matched Tynedale closely throughout the season. Both sides finished with 106 points from their 26 league fixtures, with home advantage awarded to Tynedale after recording 21 wins to Oundle’s 20.

With progression to a promotion final at stake, the winner will travel to face either Birmingham Moseley RFC or Luctonians RFC, who meet in the corresponding play-off fixture on the same day in the second city.

Before the game, the club’s popular pre-match hospitality packages will once again be available for this additional ‘bonus’ fixture. We look forward to welcoming friends new and old for what will be a special afternoon.
