Congratulations to Seamus Hutton on a fantastic milestone—bringing up his 100th 1st XV appearance for Tynedale RFC in a try-scoring, man-of-the-match performance over Billingham on Saturday 13th December.

Seamus marked the occasion in style with two tries, taking his overall tally to 39 tries in 100 appearances for Tynedale.

Those scores moved him to 9 tries for the season already, beating his previous best of 8 tries in 24 appearances last season—and we’re only in December.

Since making his debut in a 19–18 win over Sheffield Tigers in November 2019, Seamus has become a real favourite around the squad: a winger who plays with a smile on his face, but is as competitive as they come.

Reflecting on the achievement, Seamus said:

“It’s been an honour to be part of such a great club. 100 1st-Team appearances is a great achievement & hopefully many more to come. Thank you to all the past and present coaches & players who have made this possible.”

Club Coach Tom Wilkinson added:

“Seamus is such a hugely popular member of our squad, everyone loves him. He sacrifices a lot to play for us, travelling over from west Cumbria (where it must be very sunny) 3 times a week.

He goes about his rugby with a smile on his face and a friendly manner but he is a hell of a competitor. We are so lucky to have him as a player and a person.
