At the end of a magnificent season for Tynedale RFC, the Club's senior statesman Douglas Hamilton took timeout to reflect on some of the special things that had happened.
For the 1stXV many features stood out but Douglas always enjoys what goes on in the engine-room and he wrote a poem (as you do!) to reflect some of his thoughts which he is willing to share, hoping some will find it amusing or funny.
From Tynedale’s 'Back of the Stand' (Apologies to John Betjeman):-

NOTE: For the uninformed Sir John Betjeman was an English poet, writer, and broadcaster. He was Poet Laureate from 1972 until his death in 1984.
