Women in Sport Lunch at Tynedale RFC
Saturday 14th March 2026 | Meet from Noon

Tynedale RFC is proud to host Women in Sport, a special pre-match lunch celebrating women who love playing, supporting and being involved in sport – whatever your background, role or level.

This event is a fantastic opportunity for like-minded women from across the Tynedale District and surrounding areas to come together to socialise, network, share stories and enjoy great food and drink, all in the heart of the club.

Whether you’re a player, coach, volunteer, official, supporter or simply passionate about any sport, you’ll be warmly welcomed.

Tickets are £25 per person, which includes:
• A two-course lunch
• Entry to the First Team match vs fellow high flyers Macclesfield
• Access to the clubhouse bar, open all day
• Team tables are available, making this a perfect social occasion for clubs, squads and friendship groups.

Special Guest: Caity Mattinson

We are delighted to welcome Caity Mattinson as our special guest.

Caity’s rugby journey began right here at Tynedale RFC, where she played mini and junior rugby before progressing to the very top of the women’s game.

A dynamic and intelligent scrum-half, she went on to represent England before qualifying for and earning international honours with Scotland, becoming one of the few players to achieve the rare distinction of playing Test rugby for two nations.

Over the course of her career, Caity competed in the Women’s Six Nations, represented clubs including Loughborough Lightning and Worcester Warriors, and was widely respected for her leadership, game management and professionalism on and off the field.

Following her retirement from elite rugby, Caity has continued to give back to the game. She now works in rugby development and education, most recently as a Schools Rugby Manager in Oxfordshire, helping inspire and support the next generation of players while championing the growth of the women’s game at grassroots level.

Her story is one of ambition, resilience and staying connected to your roots – making her a perfect guest for this celebration of women in sport.
