Report taken from "The Rugby Paper":-
Leaders Sedgley Tigers were sent crashing to their first defeat of the season by a fired-up Tynedale outfit.
Although they led for much of the game, the Tigers never looked comfortable against the tough tackling Northumbrians and finally succumbed in a thrilling last 15 minutes.
Tynedale were magnificent and have now added the scalp of the leaders to that of second-placed Fylde.
Jake Rodgers, on for fly half Josh Leslie, sealed the win by converting Seamus Hutton's late try and then adding the winning try and conversion.
Tynedale were on top for the opening 15 minutes but fell behind when Rhys Henderson got through on the left after 17 minutes. Tynedale thought they had levelled after 26 minutes when skipper Chris Wearmouth went over but he had brushed against the referee and the score was ruled out.
Ollie Glasse penalties either side of half-time gave the Tigers an 11-0 advantage but after 71 minutes a strong Tynedale attack down the left ended with Hutton touching down and Rodgers converted superbly from close to touch to narrow the gap to four points.
The Tigers were now pinned in their own 22 as Tynedale piled on the pressure and, after great work by the pack, Rodgers shimmied over from 20 metres to put Tynedale in front. He converted his own try and the Tigers had to be content with a losing bonus point.
