Report taken from "The Rugby Paper":-
The two Dales produced a pulsating match which ebbed and flowed throughout but it was Tynedale who edged it with a late try from skipper and leading try-scorer Chris Wearmouth, the big lock grabbing his eighth try of the season.
Tynedale took an early lead through Louis Frankland from a lineout, with Jake Rodgers converting.
Wharfedale hit back with two penalties from Tom Davidson to narrow the gap to a single point after 25 minutes.
On the stroke of half-time a knifing break from Wharfedale's Sam Gaudie was halted just short, but he popped the ball up for Rhys Green to score, Davidson's conversion giving the visitors a 13-7 lead at the break.
Tynedale edged ahead 14 minutes into the second half when sustained forward pressure saw the excellent Frankland grab his second, with Rodgers adding the extras.
Wharfedale, however. came roaring back, with Gaudie diving in and Davidson's conversion making it 14-20.
Then it was Tynedale's turn to fight back with a good spell of possession resulting in Wearmouth being driven over for Rodgers to give Tynedale the slenderest of leads from the tee - and the win!
