Report taken from "The Rugby Paper":-
One point was all that could split Preston Grasshoppers and Tynedale as both teams ran in five tries in an entertaining end-of-season encounter,
A late Josh Leslie penalty was enough for the visitors, as the sides closed the season out in memorable fashion.
It was a quick start from Tynedale, when Joe Beaty managed to sidestep his way past the defence.
Hoppers scored next when Scott Richardson bundled over from short range before a quick response saw Will Roberts take in a long looping pass , then darting into the corner.
Preston then secured a well deserved try when Rob Willetts managed to score from a rolling maul. But Tynedale had the lead going into half time, when a mistake by Hoppers gave the ball to Beaty, who had a simple job from five metres out.
The Hoppers came flying out after the break, scoring in the first minute Michael Ashdown after an incredible run from Jacob Browne.
Tynedale scored another through star man Euan Forlow, before Richardson secured his second.
Persistent attacks saw both sides trade tries through Ralph Johnston and Jake Pope but a late penalty from Leslie edged Tynedale in front, and then an agonising penalty miss from Ed Keohane brought a thrilling close to the season.
