Report taken from "The Rugby Paper":-
Both scored six tries in a ding-dong battle, but a superb performance from Tynedale kicker Cam Grant sealed a hard-earned win.
Tigers scored first when Ben Manderfield took advantage of poor tackling after seven minutes, but Tynedale had the four-try bonus point in the bag before half-time thanks to tries from Charlie Richards, Dan Baines, James Telford and Seamus Hutton. Critically two of the tries were converted from wide out by Grant, to give Tynedale what seemed a comfortable 26-7 interval lead.
The Yorkshire men were quick out of the blocks in the second period, Will Wood going over in the corner in the first minute. Tynedale hit straight back with a try under the posts from Harrison Wood, only for the Tigers to get their third try when Tom Calladine went in near the posts, but Will Baker inexplicably put the conversion wide.
Richards got his second converted try to put Tynedale 40-17 up after 55 minutes but Will Wood added his second try minutes later to keep Tigers in the hunt. A Grant penalty eased Tynedale's nerves before two late scores from replacement Les Monks gave the Tigers two deserved bonus points.
