Report taken from "The Rugby Paper":-
Notoriously slow-starters Tynedale enjoyed their best opening day for years with a seven-try demolition of Wharfedale.
Two tries each from Jake Rodgers and Will Miller provided the backbone of the romp.
The Yorkshire side were first off the mark when poor tackling following a lineout saw Oli Cicognini touch down under the posts for Archie Hadden to convert with four minutes gone.
Tynedale came roaring back three minutes later with Rodgers' first try after good work by Miller and Archie Rattray, and Miller eased Tynedale ahead after 21 minutes, both tries converted by Cam Grant.
Charlie Richards crossed from a slick lineout move to extend Tynedale's lead but replacement Robbie Collinson kept Wharfedale in touch with a catch-and-drive try to make it 19-14 at the break.
An offence at the restart allowed the excellent Grant to stretch Tynedale's lead from the tee, and Miller swerved in for his second try two minutes later.
A try from Alfie Weston after 46 minutes gave wharfedale hope, but that was as good as it got for the visitors as Rodgers' second try was followed by tries from Seamus Hutton and Oli Walker, all converted by Grant.
