Match Report taken from "The Rugby Paper":-

Tynedale produced a ruthless first-half display to secure a dominant victory over Billingham at Corbridge.
The home side struck almost immediately, as fly-half Josh Leslie opened the scoring after two minutes with full-back Cam Grant converting.
Momentum quickly built, allowing winger Seamus Hutton to cross twice in the opening quarter. Centre Joe Beaty soon added another try as the Tyne backline repeatedly breached the visitors' defence.
Grant added further points from the tee, though not without the occasional miss.
Inside centre Will Miller capped a dominant opening spell with a well worked try before the interval ensuring Tynedale went into the break with a commanding 31-0 lead. Billingham struggled to gain territory with their efforts further hampered by a yellow card for Adam Brown just before half time.

The second half saw Tynedale maintain control without quite the same intensity.
Replacement winger Will Roberts crossed early in the second period before replacement back-row Ben Bell finished strongly in the closing minutes to complete the scoring.
The hosts held out firm to protect the result which lifts them to third in the table while leaving Billingham in 11th.

Chris Leslie's Match Report:-

Darkness that would test Stevie Wonder.
Tynedale produced a commanding performance to sweep aside Billingham 41–0 as the light faded at Corbridge, running in seven tries and underlining their credentials ahead of a sterner test next week.
The visitors showed early intent and, inside the opening minute, looked certain to score, only for a superb cover tackle in the Tynedale 22 to snuff out the danger. That proved to be as close as Billingham would come.

What followed was a devastating 20-minute spell of open play from Tynedale’s backs, who tore into space with pace and precision. The scoring began after just two minutes when Josh Leslie crossed, Cam Grant adding the conversion. Seamus Hutton struck twice in the opening quarter, with Joe Beaty also on the scoresheet, Grant again accurate from the tee. By the time Will Miller added a converted try on 21 minutes, Tynedale had raced into a 31–0 lead as the clock ticked past 2.21pm.
Billingham appeared to underestimate the home defence and, despite preferring the freedom of open play on a plastic pitch, were repeatedly knocked back by Tynedale’s outstanding trio of loose forwards, whose form this season has been nothing short of astonishing. The home pack also dominated the scrummage, and it was to Billingham’s credit that the score did not accelerate further before the interval.

The second half, played into a stiff little breeze, became something of a scrumathon. The referee awarded repeated penalties as the Billingham pack continued to struggle under pressure. Will Roberts made an immediate impact on his introduction, bursting through with his first carry only to miss the touchdown. He soon made amends, however, claiming his first try of the match and looking every bit a player eager to make up for lost time.
As the light continued to fade, Ben Bell rounded off the scoring with a forward’s try on 85 minutes. Billingham never stopped working but appeared to have arrived with the wrong game plan, or perhaps simply couldn’t read the contest as darkness fell after that decisive opening 21 minutes.
Attention now turns to Darlington Mowden Park, who pushed Sheffield all the way in a narrow 28–29 defeat. Tynedale will take confidence from this emphatic win, but there is a clear word of warning ahead of next week’s challenge.
