Report from "The Rugby Paper":-
Tynedale had to be content with a losing bonus point after matching Hull most of the way but going down to a late Dean Reece try.
They were left to rue a badly malfunctioning line-out, and a couple of missed chances, as the visitors came from behind to claim victory.
The visitors had the wind at their backs in the opening period and would have hoped to have been further ahead than 10-5 at the break.
Tynedale struggled to get out of their own half as the wind howled and after Simon Humberstone had given Hull the lead after 111 minutes they went further ahead when good forward pressure brought a try on the right for Will Hall after 18 minutes.
Humberstone's excellent conversion made it 10-0 but Tynedale came back well, with Ross Cooke crossing on the half hour after a period of pressure.
A five point lead did not seem enough into the elements, and two penalties from Cooke had Tynedale in front by the 71st minute.
With Hull's Mike Allard in the sin bin following a late tackle Tynedale were in the driving seat. But the wind dropped, and Hull began to play good rugby which was rewarded when a Tipiloma Kivalu break saw Reece score close to the posts for Humberstone to convert.
