Report from "The Rugby Paper":-
Tynedale did just enough to claim victory in this grueling game rearranged from October because of Covid-19.
A strong wind and a wet ball made handling difficult and, on four occasions, Tynedale kicked penalties dead.
The Tigers had the wind at their backs in the first half, and took the lead after six minutes when a knifing run from Sammy Downs put in Jamie Broadley for a try converted by skipper Mark Ireland.
Tynedale hit back three minutes later with a try by Guy Pike but the Tigers stretched away with two Ireland penalties.
Right on half-time, though, a rare Tynedale attack saw scrum-half Alex Ball loft a high kick into the wind, and winger Seamus Hutton pounced for Tynedale's second try which made it 12-13 at the break.
As the wind strengthened, Tigers' chances faded, until Tynedale contrived to lose possession, allowing Tigers' Robbie Davidson to snap up the loose ball and scorch in for a well taken try to make it 12-18 with 56 minutes gone.
The visitors were unable to get out of their own half much after that, and sustained forward pressure brought a brace of tries for hooker Ralph Johnston, one converted, to seal Tynedale's victory.
