The Tynedale Raiders are back in action this Tuesday night as they take on a lively Northumbria University side under the lights on the Dyvels Pitch

Raiders skipper Leon Turnbull is fired up for the occasion:
“It’ll be a great opportunity for lads to put in a strong performance in front of coaches under the lights against a nippy Northumbria side.”

And you just can’t keep 1st XV stand-off Jake Rodgers out of the spotlight at the moment. Fresh from being the special guest at Saturday’s 1st XV pre-match lunch Q&A — while simultaneously running the Family Day rugby experience with military precision — he’s back again, this time coaching Northumbria into another big test. What a guy .

Rodgers added:
“It is a really exciting opportunity for us to test ourselves against a no-doubt strong Tynedale Raiders side, as we look to put the final pieces into place for our league opener next week. We’ve had some great tests so far against Blaydon, St Andrew’s and Durham, so to get another one under our belts will only help us moving forward.”
