The Colts faced Selkirk Youth on Sat at home. This was a good game with a well drilled and a fast flowing Selkirk putting pressure on the colts from the first whistle. With some great clearance kicks to relief the constant pressure the Colts ran in 2 tries and narrowly missing the conversions in the windy conditions. The colts went in at half time 10-0 up.

From the start of the second half Selkirk kept up the relentless pressure in both attach and defence squeezing in 2 try’s with one conversion within 10 mins taking them to 10-12 leaders. Both sides kept up the pace but Tynedale kept pinning back Selkirk into their own half into the wind. After some great pressure play Tynedale ran in another try with the conversion to follow making it 17-12 with 5 mins remaining. Tynedale managed to hold their nerves to win.
