A tough away game at Northern who got off to a flying start against a hesitant Tynedale "& Friends" - we were joined by players from Alnwick, Blyth & Ashington, where they don't have full squads, for the first time. However, a great defensive effort at the end of the first half regained a little belief.

Northern were dominant again at the start of the second half, getting through our defences a number of times, but we then finally got “over the gain-line”, Evie streaking down the left wing for our first score! Belief renewed, the girls worked hard to regain possession, scoring twice more before the end of the game, Charlotte kicking the ball through to dive on it over the line and Martha finding a gap and outpacing the defenders to the line.

A persistent effort from the girls - well done! And a very warm welcome from the coaches and players over at Northern - thank you & see you again soon...
