• Touring is not something to fear, the organisation is never as hard as the daunting task that you may think it is at first.
• Social Skills - Social skills are very important to the development of every player, touring gives players the chance to bond in a new environment, through activities, matches and the all important coach trip.
• Memories - Touring is about players having fun and making friendships. As children all of our favourite memories are with your best buds doing something exciting and memorable such as travelling up on the coach, stopping for food, fun in the hotel, participating in exciting activities and playing host clubs.
Fun and games on your tour – Tour theme, fancy dress/traditions/mascots/court and rules.
Stories for you and your mates to tell amongst each other for years to come.
Its also a great chance for parents, coaches and helpers to make memories that will stay with them.
• The build up - Selecting your tour destination and what you expect to do on tour. All of the amazing fun ways of fund raising whether it be packing bags at the local supermarket, car washing, race nights or rowing in the gym the distance you are travelling as a sponsored exercise. The countdown to the tour throughout your season knowing it is getting ever closer!
• New Places – The chance to see new sights, big cities, coastal locations, National Parks. Players often don’t get the opportunity to see or experience new parts of the country especially with friends, touring is a great way to experience new places.
• Playing against different opposition – Often our teams play the same opponents every season, on tour you can play clubs most of the players wont have ever heard of. This is a chance to see how other teams play and train, make new friends or even play against old ones who have moved away.
