TYNEDALE RFC BALL GIRLS AND BALLBOYS PLAN FOR SEASON 2023 / 20245

Please could each age group confirm by wednesday of the week of their match that they will be coming to: tynedaleyouthrugby@gmail.com

Instructions for the day:

Players to arrive 20 minutes before kick-off (please check times in advance as they may change)

a minimum of 8 players will be needed.

meet near clubhouse entrance. before the match starts collect bibs from groundsman or club duty officer, all players should wear bibs when being ballgirl or ballboy.

one coach or parent before kick off to give numbers to the food serving area. snacks should be collected from there 5 minutes before half time. each player will get a drink and food

collect balls once senior players finish warm up.

split Ballgirls / Ballboys into 4 quarters teams of 2 or 3. minimum 1 match ball for each and one with referee or on centre spot.

when ball goes out for lineout give ball to hooker or place on the area where the touch judge has marked for the throw. Retrieve ball that was kicked out.

When a penalty kick or conversion is successful place one ball on centre spot after kick has been completed and retrieve kicked ball to the quarter who are a ball down.

If a towel is available try to keep balls dry.

If playing with the balls be very careful to not enter the pitch or drop balls onto the pitch!!
