TYNE AVOID THE DROP
The final match of the 2015-2016 season saw Tynedale in a group of five teams seeking to avoid the 3rd relegation spot. Tynedale's final match was a difficult one away to a strong Leicester Lions side who were third in the league and had beaten Tynedale at Tynedale Park in the opening match of the season. Tynedale pulled off a memorable victory to avoid the drop for the second successive season. (As it turned out Sandal lost at Luctonians and were relegated regardless of Tynedale's efforts)
