BILLINGHAM’S PROMOTION IN 2023
Billingham came into National League Two North in April 2023 as impressive champions of Regional One North East, as the top of the 2022/23 table shows:-

Billingham’s results included a 100% home record.
Interestingly, Heath RUFC from Halifax who were runners-up to Billingham in 2023, are champions this season of Regional I North East and guaranteed promotion to the National Leagues (probably ours).
Alnwick RFC, fourth in 2023, can join them through the play-offs this time. To join us in National League 2 North Alnwick will need to beat Harrogate at home, then the winners of the Anselmians (Birkenhead) v Stockport match, then the 3rd bottom team in our league (away).
Isn’t this play-off system delightfully complicated!

BILLINGHAM THIS SEASON
Billingham have had a mixed season but sit in a comfortable lower mid-table position away from any relegation concerns.
Billingham’s away form has let them down, losing 11 from 13, while their home form has been relatively good, recording 7 victories from 11, losing only to Sheffield, Macclesfield, Hull Ionians and Darlington MP.
Billingham were very disappointed with their showing at Tynedale Park back in December and will be hungry to reap revenge and put the records straight. They are tough to beat at Greenwood Road and Tynedale will, for sure, be in for a very challenging day.
