Clubman of the Week - Sunday 1st November
For the past couple of seasons our Director of Rugby, Peter Southern, and his “committee” have selected a 'Clubman of the Week' from nominations received from players and support staff.
This week winner is JAMIE DIXON

1st November 2026

This weeks award citation from Peter:-

"This week we’re celebrating a fantastic clubman whose efforts behind the scenes have made a real difference to the club this season.

Whether it’s working on recruitment, helping people find jobs or just having a chat and seeing where he can lend a hand, this clubman is always looking for ways to help others. He’s also worked hard to find sponsors for new players, which has been a great help and is just another part of what he does. Always with a smile on his face, he’s one of the first to put his hand up when something needs doing, and you can be sure he’ll know somebody who might be able to help as well!

He’s been an absolute revelation this season. He’s been heavily involved in the tour and is always there to assist me with whatever needs sorting. On a personal note, he’s taken a huge amount of pressure off my workload, and I’m very grateful for the time and effort he continues to put in.

Clubs need people like this — people who get things done, bring others together and quietly keep things moving. Much of that work comes with very little recognition, and plenty of people probably don’t realise just how much he does. But without these vital cogs working away behind the scenes, so many things simply wouldn’t happen.

His contribution certainly hasn’t gone unnoticed by those working alongside him, and this week is a chance for us all to recognise it. So let’s give this outstanding clubman a huge thank you for everything he continues to do for Tynedale and the people within it."
