Our senior squads are gearing up for an exciting trip north this Saturday as we take on Heriot’s Rugby Club in not one, but two pre-season matches in Edinburgh!

The action kicks off at 13:30 at Edinburgh University’s Peffermill Playing Fields, while pitch upgrades wrap up at Heriot’s famous Goldenacre ground.

Heriot’s, last year’s Scottish Premiership runners-up, are fine-tuning before launching their own league campaign at The Greenyards next weekend against Melrose RFC.

Ahead of this weekend’s double-header, Tynedale RFC Coach Tom Wilkinson shared his excitement:
“The players turned up with a totally focused mindset this pre-season and as a result, the sessions have felt competitive and challenging. They are a brilliant group of people to be part of every Tuesday and Thursday. Having said that, the reason we train hard is to play well, so it feels good to be back into competitive games this weekend. It is especially exciting to be able to name two very strong teams this early in the season.”

The team departs Tynedale Park at 10:30 on Saturday—supporters, we want you with us! Join the journey over the Carter Bar for a cracking day of rugby.
