Tynedale RFC is a genuine community club whose primary purpose is to provide safe and enjoyable rugby for hundreds of male & female players (20+ teams) across a range of ages and abilities. It also provides facilities for supporters and other club users.

The financial cost of providing, maintaining and continually improving these facilities is significant and membership income from all sections of the club is a vital contribution.

For the coming season we have simplified the membership structure and now offer 4 categories of membership:-

• Adult Non-Player Membership
• Adult (including Colts) Player Membership
• Youth Player Membership
• Adult Patron

Note: Membership purchase will not be available until 1st July 2025.

HOW TO PURCHASE MEMBERSHIP
Tynedale Memberships can be purchased using the RFU's Game Management System(GMS).
GMS is England Rugby's central database system on which all TRFC memberships (player & non-player) can be purchased.
GMS is also used to hold records of players, coaches, referees, fixtures, results and much, much more.

PLAYER REGISTRATION
The RFU requires that every person playing any form of rugby is affiliated to the club & registered on GMS
Player REGISTRATION is a separate entity to Player MEMBERSHIP although they are both administered on GMS and are both associated with the same player record.

Purchasing Player Membership and Player Registration are two separate processes, both of which need to be carried out on a seasonal basis on GMS. All players registered for a completed season must re-register for he new season. It is reasonably straightforward to purchase membership and register or re-register as a player in the same GMS login session.

In summary purchasing player membership does not register or re-register that player.
NOTE: When renewing player membership or re-registering as a player do not create a new Player record - select the existing one.

CLUB WEBSITE
Just to confuse matters further it should be pointed out that membership on the club's website simply applies to the website and NOT to the Club. (It allows you to see/do certain things on the website and receive weekly e-mails).
