Report taken from "The Rugby Paper":-
Despite the narrow scoreline Chester were on top for most of the game, and it was only a try deep into injury time that salvaged two losing bonus points for a lacklustre Tynedale.
Chester went ahead on three minutes when a tap penalty led to a converted try for Scott Robson, but Tynedale struck on 20 minutes through Harrison Wood after a forward drive.
Chester hit back with a good handling movement that ended with Harry Graham crossing, before Harrison Vare added another try, Morgan Bagshaw landing his third conversion for a 21-7 lead.
Tynedale's pack gained the ascendency just before the break, pounding over from a lineout for Wood's second try.
Tynedale started the second half well with a Cam Grant penalty being quickly followed by a try from Alex Dryden. Grant's excellent touchline conversion nudged the hosts into a 22-21 lead. But Chester replied instantly with a long range penalty from Sam Earl-Evans before another quick penalty under the posts saw Craven touch down for Bagshaw to convert.
A late rally saw Tynedale camped under the posts, and the game ending with a converted try from Owen Vassallo.
