Report taken from "The Rugby Paper":-
Tynedale claimed a bonus-point victory over Darlington Mowden Park in their first National League meeting for a decade, but the hosts produced a spirited late rally.
The visitors seized early control with Cameron Grant landing two penalties inside 16 minutes before Ben Douglas crossed for the opening try for the hosts.
Further first half scores from Archie Rattray, Charlie Richards and Will Roberts, plus three Grant conversions, stretched the visitors advantage to 27-5 at the break.
Tynedale resumed strongly after half time as Alex Dryden, Ben Haigh and Will Miller all touched down - Grant converting each - to move 48-12 ahead. But Mowden Park refused to capitulate.
Shaun McCartney and Harrison Wood both crossed before a penalty try following a foul after 65 minutes narrowed the gap.
Flynn Ward then added a try and Simon Uzokwe finished the scoring, with Ward landing three conversions.
Although Tynedale's power and organisation proved decisive, DMP will take heart from their second half fightback and the leadership of Joe Craggs as they outscored the visitors in the final quarter, suggesting positive signs as their largely new squad beds in.
