A try in the dying seconds earned maximum points for the Herefordshire side after a real battle.
Tynedale took an early lead with a Jake Rodger's penalty and stretched it with a Will Roberts converted try.
Scrum-half Louis Silver put Lucs back in the game on 11 minuts with a try he converted himself, before centre Frank Kelly blasted through the middle to put Lucs ahead on 23 minutes.
Back came Tynedale with a Ben Bell try from a scrum, improved by Rodgers, before two Rodgers penalties gave Tyne a 23-12 interval lead.
Full-back Rob Bengry narrowed the gap with a converted try five minutes into the second half, and a well worked try for winger Rob Crowley edged the visitors ahead soon after.
The pendulum swung back Tynedale's way with a slick converted try from wing Guy Pike on 62 minutes, but good pressure on the line brought Luctonians a converted try from rplacement Cameron Tawik for a 31-30 lead.
Tynedale semd to have saved the day with a Rodgers' fourth penalty at the end of normal time but two minutes into injury time Crowley crossed in th corner to seal the narrow victory.
