Angus Brogdon
Angus Brogdon died during the year. Angus was a playing member of the very successful pre-war Tynedale side. He represented Northumberland and had an English trial as a stand-off half. Angus captained the club and was then a long-standing committee member, then President and a life-member. He was also Tynedale's representative on the County committee, becoming President of Northumberland in 1960.

1stXV
The 1st XV glittered in the Pilkington Cup but the cup glamour overshadowed a struggle in the league and failure in the final of the County cup.

In the Pilkington Cup the first team defeated Barkers Butt from National League 5, then Otley from National League 3 at home in the second round. In the third round the club met Rugby Lions from national League 3, and lost after extra time.

For the first time since 1990 our interest in the League centred on relegation. The only comfortable defeat was by Bradford & Binbgley, but the team conspired to lose games against York, West Park, Stockton, Middlesbrough, which should have been won.

The Northumberland Cup was lost 6-3 to Northern in the final.

Raiders
The Raiders had a good but inconsistent season, winning the County Challenge Shield for the first time since 1990.

Retiring Captains
The end of the season saw three captains stepping down - Richard Parker (1st XV), Billy Robson (Raiders), and Chris Richardson (Grasshoppers).

County
Richard Parker, (Captain), Edward Parker, Simon Clayton-Hibbott, and Michael Old were all members of the Northumberland county team which lost narrowly to Warwickshire in the final of the county championship at Twickenham. Other members of the squad were Steve Dunn, Paul Leonard, Andrew Blyth, Paul Winter and Steve Turnbull.

5 players represented Northumberland U21's, Jonathan Green, Mat Forster, Alistair Gray, James Stewart and Jason Wright.

HenryBone, Aaron Charlton, Graham Fox, Andrew Pyle, Chris Robson and Adam Watkins all represented Northumberland Colts, whilst Iain Harris coached the side.

Colts
Tynedale Colts played 26 games, and won 21, drew 1 and lost only 4. The team beat Alnwick 6 - 3 in the final of the County Colts Cup.

The old Secretary's hut has been developed as a Colts clubhouse.

Coach
Matt Carter is taking over from Jimmy Baldwin as coach for season 1995-96.

Floods
In February 1995 the club grounds were flooded when the Tyne burst its banks. There was slight damage to the drive and to equipment under the stand - but the clubhouse was unscathed.
